Whirlwind of Writing and Creativity

Little Whirlwind
It has been a whirlwind of writing and creativity in my life online of late. I figured it time I give you an update of what has consumed my time and effort. The writing platform where I had published most of my creative writing and reviews for the past three years is now gone, Squidoo having sold out to another writing site, HubPages.

Join Ruth Cox on Wizzley
Members of Squidoo were given the opportunity to go along with the sellout but I chose to opt out of that sell-me-out deal. Instead, I chose to move on to a writing community of my choosing. I am working diligently to publish my article writings, old and new, on the Wizzley platform for writers. My Wizzley portfolio is growing stronger every day!

I have also been relatively busy this past month creating another blog for you to enjoy, geared especially toward dog lovers. Today I would like to direct your attention to DOG PAWSITIVE TIDBITS, inspired by my dog Tidbit and the paw prints of her pups. I am ever so excited about this blog project!

Dog Pawsitive Tidbits
My books for kids blog is being restructured, due to many links and references to that old writing site.

Even this abitosunshine blog (where you are now) is in disarray, and will also get a much-needed face lift soon, but that's alright, as I am up to the challenge!

I find I am rather enjoying this whirlwind of creative activity, especially since my projects are now of my choosing and not being directed by the needs and desires of a site owner and staff more interested in their own agenda and not mine.

I find I am smiling more now as I work and I am much more productive and motivated. And I am earning online better now than before. Now if that isn't motivation enough for me then I don't know what possibly could be!

Writer's Unite
As a writer and blogger I am delighted to be linking this blog article up with Writer's Unite over at Marsha's Spot. Marsha hosts this weekly blog hop for writers, so if you're a writer and a blogger you're invited to come join us!

Waving Through the White Fluff

I'm waving through the falling flakes outside my window this morning! Mother Nature is still dumping her white fluff. I say, Enough!

It's time for my weekly blog post for the Catch A Wave Wednesday blog hop hosted by Cindy of Blogging Hints.

My first Wave was to Cindy and I spent a bit o' time reading and commenting on a few of her posts today as she always has something interesting to share via her blogging hints and tips.

I really appreciate Cindy hosting Catch a Wave Wednesday. I've met and made a few good blog friends through this blog hop and I always look forward to hopping around to wave to new bloggers each week. So ... Thank you, Cindy!

Cindy featured Karissa of With Our Best, so I stopped by and waved to her. She's got some great giveaways and product info on her site, so I signed up to follow her, as I wouldn't want to miss where she's flying to next!

Next, I waved to Colleen of the ART of decorating, a Mural Maker & More, for sure! Oh my, her artwork is fabulous and in her posts she often shares the design process. Just lovely! I'd met Colleen last week, via the hop, at her other blog, Feng Shui Savvy. And I do need to get back there for her hints on getting organized!

Well, I'm off to see who else on the blog hop linky list I can wave to ... hop on by via Catch a Wave Wednesday and it may just be you!

Waving -- Catch A Wave Wednesday

In keeping with the Catch A Wave Wednesday guidelines I first waved hello to the hop hostess, Cindy, over at BloggingHints.com.

Next wave is to the site before me on the linky list this week: Jodi of jodishomebiz.com, Helping Moms Work From Home. I need to plan for some time there checking out all the knowledge Jodi's sharing with those of us working from home. Of course, I signed up to follow with Google Friend Connect and waved a Happy 2011 while visiting.

Next, I headed to the wave following me on the list: Stephanie with Beauty Brite. I'll be headed right back there, too, as I need to finish up my entries in her Soy Candle Giveaway!

Another wave link caught my eye, so I just had to wave and follow Colleen's Feng Shui Savvy site! So much to learn and fun as well. I'm thinking I'll be spending a lot of time there with Colleen.

I'll be wavin' at ya next week, if not before!

Sun Sails the Snow

Outside my office window is an open field covered with a few waves of winter white. Today it's a beautiful view as I watch the sun sail the snow, setting the mood for Catch a Wave Wednesday!

In keeping with the Wave guidelines, the wave before me took me to visit Mommy Katie. I'll be headed back there after I finish this post, as Katie's kids are sharing a great storytime giveaway!

Followed by Living Like the Kings, I rode the Wave to meet the Kings and read Kat and Jon's sweet and spicy love story. And I also picked up the recipe for a great slow-cooker pot roast!

Next, I'm going to head back over and see what our Catch A Wave Wednesday hostess, Cindy, has been up to this week and see if I can pick up any new blogging hints.

Hop on and I'll be wavin' at ya!

Riding the Wave

Today has truly been a ride-the-wave kind of day for me, emotionally! It's one of those mother/son things that's troubled me, but all will be set right, eventually.

In the wake of the familial tide, I decided to surf a bit through the Catch a Wave Wednesday linky list. This began with my Swagbucks toolbar search for our hostess and I snagged 11 holiday SwagBucks, hooRAYo!

First wave was over at The Globetrotting Gamine, where I heard all about Snoopy love. Seriously, a phone call of pure sweet stuffed-animal sunshine!

Next wave: bassgiraffe's Thoughts, where I learned that BFS is Bored Fish Syndrome, oh my! Check out the Funky Fish for yourself! Perfect! I think I'll stay right here for awhile and swim the ocean blue with the friendly fishes.

Catch you next week!

Wave for Wednesday 12/15/2010

With winter here and an end of year near, I just couldn't resist riding this wave when the opportunity presented itself. So, I signed on to Catch A Wave Wednesday Blog Hop, hosted by Cindy over at Blogging Hints.

What a fabulous and fun idea! Sure, it's one way of increasing blog traffic and it's another thing added to my ToDo list, but oh, what fun it is to swim the sea of knowledge shared from one blogger to the next! I enJOY sharing myself with new friends, as well as old ... how about you?

Come, catch a wave!

Today, I am, of course, now signed up to follow Cindy the hostess and have gleaned quite a few blogging tips from her already. The great thing is that blog hops help in the success of a blog by adding post consistency; so hop along! And Cindy shared great tips to aid in posting consistency: Scheduling Posts Maintains Blog Consistency.

I spent too much time wavin' at A Little Bit of Everything--oh my gosh, everything is yummy in her world! So much so, that I'm now headed for the kitchen to fix myself something to eat.

Next wave, next Wednesday, if not before!
