My grandson Liam celebrates his fourth birthday today ... Hooray! Oh, what a grand celebration it was being there on the day this bundle of boy joy was born.

Now here I am, hundreds of miles away, wishing I were there with him in person to wish him a happy birthday with a hug and a kiss from his Grandma Ruthi. Instead, I send him hugs and smiles across the miles on his special day.

Sunday Morning Light

My son and grandson came for an overnight visit with me yesterday. We went out to dinner where I work at Roman's Pizza and Sub Shoppe. We laughed, we played, we loved ... What a wonderful time this Grandma had!

The most wonderful thing in the world—and yes, a precious moment which brought real tears to my eyes—was my son tucking his little one into bed for the night, folding hands and saying a bedtime prayer ending with "And God bless everybody!" followed by a shout of "Amen!" by my grandson. Yes, Grandma Ruthi cried tears of joy for both her little boys.

I am so proud of my son for the seeds of love he has sown. And I am ever so thankful to share in his harvest. Indeed, I awoke with happiness in my heart in this Sunday morning light.
